Key Specifications

Are the Explore AST Pants Short Leg good for hot weather riding?

Yes. The main chassis is a fully breathable stretch textile designed for warm climate adventure riding, with ripstop reinforcements only where wear is highest.

What protection do they give in a crash?

The pants are CE certified as a garment to AA class. Nucleon Flex Plus CE Level 1 armour covers the knees and Bioflex CE Level 1 armour covers the hips, while ripstop panels at the knees and seat add abrasion resistance.

Can I take the knee armour out when I get off the bike?

Yes. The knee protectors sit in external pockets, so you can remove them for walking without taking the pants off. Knee armour position is also adjustable to suit your build and riding position.

Will they fit over adventure boots?

Yes. Long zippers at the leg hem open wide enough to go over adventure boots or casual riding shoes.
