The rear, free end of the Adventure's original engine guard has no support against the frame. This makes it the Achilles heel of the engine guard. In the event of a crash or a fall, it can give way because the forces and torque are not directly transmitted to the frame. This creates a risk of damage to the clutch or alternator covers.
This reinforcement bar, made of high-quality stainless steel, reliably eliminates this shortcoming. It connects the rear, free end of the engine guard to the frame. This means that acting forces are additionally transmitted via the bar to the appropriate point in the frame structure. This measure prevents the engine guard from giving way and reduces the risk of damage to the clutch or alternator covers. It also provides additional rigidity to the entire tube assembly, with its curved shape being designed to elastically absorb any peak loads that occur.
Precisely formed on CNC tube bending machines and cleanly welded, we manufacture the reinforcement from precision stainless steel tubing with a tube diameter of 25 mm. The surfaces are glass bead blasted and electropolished. This allows the reinforcement to blend seamlessly into the design of the original engine guard.
