Ducati 2026 Diavel V4 RS and Multistrada V4 RS Released
Ducati Drops Two V4 RS Machines for 2026: The Diavel and Multistrada Go Full Send
Ducati has pulled the covers off two new flagship motorcycles for 2026, the Diavel V4 RS and the Multistrada V4 RS, and they read like a greatest hits package of everything Bologna does well. New liveries, top shelf components throughout, north of 180 horsepower, and a claimed 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just two and a half seconds.
The price of admission? Just shy of $40,000 USD before fees and taxes. That is a big number, but these are not ordinary motorcycles.

The Diavel V4 RS: A Muscle Bike That Finally Earned the Name
The Diavel has always occupied its own strange corner of the motorcycle world. Too aggressive for a cruiser, too relaxed for a sportbike, too ridiculous to ignore. The 2026 RS variant doubles down on that identity with new wheels and a quad pipe exhaust arrangement that looks as dramatic as it sounds.
Here is the thing about the Diavel: it does not photograph as well as it rides. The owner of Iconic Motorbikes tells a story that captures this perfectly. He brought his Panigale in for warranty work at his local Ducati dealer. They gave him a Diavel as a loaner. He was shaking his head thinking, what is this thing? When he got back, he told them to sell the Panigale. He bought the Diavel instead.
That kind of conversion happens more often than you would expect. The combination of V4 power delivery, that low slung riding position, and 180 plus horsepower creates an experience that turns skeptics into believers on the first ride.
The Multistrada V4 RS: Adventure Bike, Sharpened
The Multistrada has long been Ducati’s do everything machine. Sport touring, light off road capability, everyday usability. The RS treatment brings it into sharper focus as a performance first proposition, matching the Diavel’s power figures while retaining the upright ergonomics and versatility that make the Multi platform so addictive.
Both bikes share the V4 Granturismo engine, both claim over 180 horsepower, and both wear new liveries with upgraded suspension, brakes, and finishing throughout.

Is $40K Too Much for a Motorcycle?
The sticker price will inevitably dominate the conversation. Forty thousand dollars is serious money. More than many cars, more than most riders will ever spend on two wheels. But context matters. Ducati is a premium brand, and the RS designation sits at the top of each model line. These are limited, high specification machines built to deliver something mass market bikes simply cannot.
As one long time Ducati owner put it: “When it comes to bikes that demand you have a last look over your shoulder as you walk away after a ride, Ducati have it nailed.” That shoulder glance factor is hard to put a price on, but Ducati keeps finding people willing to pay for it.
And for what it is worth, peanut M and Ms are now $3.60 at Home Depot. Everything costs more than it used to. At least the Ducati is more fun than candy.
The Bottom Line
Two distinct machines, one shared philosophy. Take Ducati’s V4 platform, wrap it in premium everything, and charge accordingly. Whether it is the Diavel’s four pipe theatrics or the Multistrada’s all road capability, 180 horsepower and a 2.5 second sprint make a persuasive argument at any price point.
You just have to ride one first.
