The All 2025 New BMW R 1300 RT: A Benchmark in Touring Motorcycles

BMW Motorrad has introduced the new R 1300 RT, setting a new standard in the touring segment. This latest model combines advanced engineering, enhanced comfort, and innovative technology to deliver an exceptional riding experience for both long-distance tours and dynamic country road journeys.

Engine and Performance

At the core of the R 1300 RT is a newly developed 1,300 cc boxer engine, producing 145 hp at 7,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 149 Nm at 6,500 rpm. This makes it the most powerful production boxer engine BMW has ever built. The redesigned chassis, featuring a steel main frame and aluminum lattice tube rear frame, ensures improved stability and precise handling.

Comfort and Ergonomics

BMW has prioritized rider and passenger comfort. The seat height starts at just 780 mm, with several seat variants available for optimal ergonomics. The new luggage system includes electrified 27-litre cases and optional variable-volume Vario cases (27–33 litres), both with interior lighting and USB-C charging. Topcase options provide up to 54 litres of storage, with a heated backrest available for passenger comfort.

Technology and Safety

The R 1300 RT is equipped with a 10.25-inch TFT colour display, integrated map navigation, and a Connectivity Hub for controlling accessories and charging smartphones. Standard features include three riding modes (Rain, Road, Eco), Dynamic ESA electronic suspension, and full LED lighting. Optional equipment includes Riding Modes Pro, Dynamic Chassis Adaption (DCA), Headlight Pro with adaptive lighting, and the comprehensive Riding Assistant package (Active Cruise Control, collision warnings, and Lane Change Warning).
