2027 Honda CRF1150L Africa Twin Adventure Sports: First Look at the Long-Distance Tourer

Honda's flagship adventure-tourer receives a significant update for 2027, and it comes in three flavors: the standard CRF1150L Africa Twin, a more off-road capable Enduro Sports, and the long-distance Adventure Sports covered here.
The Adventure Sports gets the same core updates as the standard model, including the new 1,131cc parallel-twin (with manual transmission or DCT), a lighter frame, a lower center of gravity, Showa Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment electronic suspension as standard, and a new combination 5.7-inch and 7-inch display.
As before, the Adventure Sports gets a larger fuel tank, now holding 6.4 gallons versus 5.0 on the standard model, with a secondary sub-tank under the seat that helps lower the center of gravity. With its touring focus, it rides on a 19-inch front wheel rather than the standard model's 21-inch rim.
Sensing Ride radar variant
New for 2027 is a Sensing Ride variant fitted with front and rear radar sensors. These enable adaptive cruise control with stop and go, group ride assist, distance assist, emergency brake assist, forward collision warning with brake pulse, blind spot information, rear distance information and rear collision warning. The Sensing Ride version comes standard with DCT.
